ACIA co-hosted a seminar delivered by the honorary guest, Mr Bin Qi, vice General Manager of China Investment Co. Ltd on 24 Jan 2017

 

Through Tsinghua University Alumni, the Association of China-Ireland Academics, Trinity College Dublin and National University of Ireland, Galway (NUI Galway) co-hosted a seminar delivered by the honorary guest, Mr Bin Qi, vice General Manager of China Investment Co. Ltd. The seminar was on Bonding China and the World: The Overseas Investment and the Chinese Economic Transition. His excellence, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Dr Xiaoyong Yue, and the consulate, Ms He Xue gave welcome speeches. Prof Xinming Zhan from NUI Galway chaired the seminar. Ms Xiaoling Liu, President of the Association of Chinese Professionals in Ireland, and Prof Bing Wu, President of the Association of China-Ireland Academics provided great assistance to and were present at the seminar.

Mr Qi was invited as a keynote speaker to the European Financial Forum, held in the historic Dublin Castle. Within minutes after the speech, he joined another motley crowd in the world renowned university, Trinity College Dublin. Mr Qi was charismatic and eloquent. He engaged the audience with extraordinary strategic discussion as well as outstanding meticulous analyses. His speech was inspirational to all attendees and set an excellent role model for young professionals in the industry. The seminar was described as ‘a feast of thought sparkles’. Everyone present enjoyed it.
